MOSAIC

...The Tungsten Mosaic amplifier is based on the 5F1 design, delivering 5 watts with a 6V6 and 9 watts with a 6L6 power tube. It has a single Volume knob, two inputs and comes standard with either an 8" or 12" Weber T12Q speaker and Mercury Magnetics transformers.

...Because this amp is cathode biased, swapping power tubes is just a matter of plugging them in. No re-biasing is ever necessary. Likewise, the preamp section will accept 12AX7, 12AU7, 12AY7, 12AT7 and 5751 tubes which allows a variety of tone options with a simple tube change.

...This is a great practice amp for guitar, and it is pure Chicago blues with a harmonica. The oversized 12" Mosaic cabinet makes for tighter, punchier bass response, while still keeping it very compact and lightweight, making this one of our most popular amplifiers that works equally well for the home player or as a great little recording amp in any studio environment.

CORTEZ

...The Tungsten Cortez is based on the classic 5E3 design, putting out 12 watts with a pair of 6V6 tubes and 18 watts with 6L6 power tubes. It has a single Tone knob, with Bright and Normal Volume controls, four inputs and comes standard with a custom designed 12" Weber T12Q Alnico speaker and Mercury Magnetics transformers. It also includes a pair of 12AX7 preamp tubes and 5Y3 rectifier, and because this amp is cathode biased, swapping power tubes is just a matter of plugging them in. No re-biasing is ever necessary. Likewise, the preamp section accepts 12AX7, 12AU7, 12AY7, 12AT7 and 5751 tubes, giving you a great deal of control over your tone.

...The amp excels at blues and distorted classic rock tones with raw punchy tone that is very expressive. Roll back the guitar volume, and you achieve clean but edgy tones, and at full tilt, it is the epitome of the “Zuma” sound.

CREMA WHEAT

...The Crema Wheat is the newest addition to the Tungsten Amplification lineup, and is a melding of some of the great vintage low watt designs, all coming together in one outstanding package to create a special flavored 112 combo that fits in-between some of the other designs.

...The preamp section consists of a a pair of 12AX7 tubes and is powered by a pair of 6V6's with a GZ34 rectifier for a total of 20 watts, all pushing through a Scumback M75 speaker and a pair of custom wound Mercury Magnetics transformers. Like most Tungsten amplifiers, the Crema Wheat can also accept 5881 and 6L6 power tubes to boost the wattage and change the breakup characteristics.

...The Crema Wheat has both the headroom and crunch to cut through in most small band situations and it is also very suitable for many recording applications where sweeter tones need to be attained at more comfortable playing levels.

...This one amp alone has the ability to bring you the tones of many classic amps of the 50s and 60s...just turn the knobs and step back in time.

BUCKWHEAT

...The Tungsten Buckwheat amplifier is the next amp in the Wheat line featuring Tungsten's signature voicing arrangement that made the Crema Wheat so popular. Powered by a pair of cathode biased 6L6 power tubes, Buckwheat puts out 30 watts through a single 12" Scumback H75 speaker.

... Buckwheat has two channels, each individually voiced and featuring a Volume/Tone configuration. The Les channel is voiced in a way as to accommodate humbucking pickups while retaining clarity. The Moe channel offers more highs and more lows, perfectly suited to vintage style single coil and P-90 pickups.

...With a slightly larger cabinet, more iron in the transformers and a heavier magnet speaker, Buckwheat gives you more of everything you love about the Crema Wheat while retaining the essential grab n' go quality. As with the Crema Wheat, you're able to swap power tubes and rectifiers at will without the need for rebiasing.

...Buckwheat comes stock in a brown tolex/wheat grille cabinet with a Scumback H75 speaker for $1,750 plus shipping.

...Matching extension cabinets loaded with a Scumback J75 are available for $425 plus shipping (factory direct only). I have yet to hear a more complimentary speaker overlap than the H75 + J75 with this circuit.

BLUE POINT

...The Tungsten Blue Point is a new offering that combines the best elements from late 1950's designs into "the greatest amp that never was".

...The amp has two channels (which can be jumped), common Bass, Treble and Presence knobs, and is powered by a trio of custom Mercury Magnetics transformers and loaded with the best vintage spec components available.

...It comes with three 12AX7 preamp tubes and will accept GZ34, 5U4 and 5Y3 rectifier tubes and 6V6, 6L6 and 5881 power tubes. This not only allows you to select wattage and power tube tone, but also lets you easily customize the sag and envelope characteristics of the amp to suit your playing style. It puts out 40 watts of pure vacuum tube tone into a pair of 12" British Series Ceramic Weber speakers.

...Tonally the Blue Point has a clear distinct voice that shimmers at mid volume. As the settings go up, the amp compresses with shades of Beano and Duane depending on how you work your guitar volume and pick attack.
